Building Community of creators; Emulating through cohabitation

How can designers emulate one another? The answer is to build a community of creators. The concrete image of building a community of creators is modeled after a traditional settlement.

Creative ideas tend to interact best in urban communities where people interdepend on one another and come up with wonderful ideas through brainstorming. Together they depict the future prospects.

In a creative community, Taiwan’s design competitiveness is supported by rapid exchanges of information and intelligence, brainstorming based on technology and creative ideas, the cultivation of talents, technological advancement, and support system.

Unlike traditional settlement, this new community’s focus is not on social development, but on design. Community members are all professionals. The new community respects knowledge, creativity and competition.

“Taiwan Designers Exhibition” gathers 100 elite designers in fields such as graphic design, product design, interior design, multimedia design, and fashion design, it also covers include architecture, culture and arts. The exhibition also showcases pieces of visionary design achieved through interdisciplinary interaction.

Based on the theme of “Building Community of creators; Emulating through cohabitation”, the exhibition has five main topics: concerns over lifestyle, culture, humanity, city and ecology
